Cool rain clears the air

Like sleep clears the brain, bathing

Cool droplets of hope.

Art Prescription: Rain rinses away dust and dirt. Sleep helps unfurl indecision. Never make a decision until you have slept on it. This is a good “old wives tell.” Get some rest…and then move forward!

Bold purple vinca

Sturdy red green stems reach up

Towards morning sunrise.

Art Prescription:  Ever notice how plants and trees are always reaching towards the sun? They grow despite wind and rain, and right on time they know their season has come. Seems simple doesn’t it?

Red, green, yellow, red

Traffic light keeps perfect time

Stop, go, pause, be, breathe.

Art Prescription: How often do you sigh? That is the body taking a natural deep breath. Current and historical practitioners relate the breath to wellness. Next time you are at a red-light, instead of feeling impatient, take a long-deep-belly-breath and be well my friend.

Blustery cool wind

Changes direction in a

Heart beat to be whole.

Art Prescription: “All we are is dust in the wind.” Words and music by Kerry Livgren . Performed by Kansas circa, well-whatever. Sheet music costs me $1.50. Says play “moderate Folk style.” Really… What speaks to you the melody or the lyrics?
