Excavating self
We dig to satisfy our
True soul’s reflection.
Art Prescription: What do you find on your dig? Surface? Or are you brave enough to dig a bit deeper? Go ahead…be brave…

Rich against fall sky
Trees glow with their final burst
Season finale.
Art Prescription: Horse rode, bike rode, salt bath…pooped.

October garden
Lantana and cosmos brave
The onset of chill
Art Prescription: My cheerful garden is still so pretty. The butterflies and hummers have left, sigh… We all begin our shift more inward.

Can the rose define
Flowers, well if anyone
She can say it all.
Art Prescription: I adore everything about roses…their smell, their soft, velvet petals, their slight attitude with thorns…and the simple fact that a bunch of roses says love.

Each whole day offers
An opportunity to
Strive for true balance.
Art Prescription: Despite his very own water bucket being full of fresh water, Max the barn cat chooses to balance precariously to drink from the horse trough.
He knows balance is involved in knowing what you want, asking for what you need.
Well done Max!

Organization
Having your ducks in a row
Know where you’re going?
Art Prescription: I know where I’m going tomorrow!! I’m going for a tour of Spoonflower! And I will be covering my adventure here at the Art Prescription, so stay tuned!! Yip!

Fall, Orange County
The fields, acres of fresh dirt
Tractor tracks remain.
Art Prescription: As I drive past Maple View Farm on the way home from riding Finn, the fields are so freshly plowed they glow orange.
Index card with watercolor:

As the garden wains
My imagination comes
To stay for winter.
Art Prescription: My favorite way to paint…random chaos, drips and puddles, blooms, that become a wildflower meadow.

In the gloaming now
The geese line up to take flight
And with one sound, whoosh!
Art Prescription: I love watching animals communicating. They seem to do such a better job than us humans. In unison bird flocks, horse herds, and geese make a move at the same time, as if choreographed.

On the porch with mums
Yellow mums and white pumpkin
Fall decor still-life.
Art Prescription: I love the hues of fall.
