Art Prescription: Bird feathers and eggs are a good way to explore the many ways to lay down watercolor on paper. Today in my studio we explored wet on wet, and blending watercolors.

Art Prescription: When the squirrel buried a seed, it had no idea that the seed would sprout and grow into a sunflower. Follow your dreams, ask for what you want, plant a seed, and watch it grow.

Art Prescription: I had to take my husband to pick his car up from being serviced this morning. We were picking it up to go buy and install the parts ourselves, since the dealers quote was ridiculous. Lucky for me I’m married to a guy who can do just about anything!
I did notice the blank stares of people driving off to where-ever. Working to live instead of living to work. It’s hard out there…
Hope some of these folks do notice the scenery…small moments of joy in an otherwise stressful life.

Art Prescription: As the birds fly south for winter, children spend their final days running in bare-feet. Soon they will need a jacket and gloves. I love the changing of seasons. Like life everything ebbs and flows.

Art Prescription: Who doesn’t love a collection? Eyes to the ground on my morning walk, I found much to collect and arrange.

Art Prescription: Spent my morning at the farm riding Finn with my Women’s Intuitive Riding group. I always leave there floating on air, as if every worry in my world has evaporated into the ethers.

Art Prescription: After 25 years of marriage I still love a hand-written note from my husband! Even if its “put the clothes in the dryer.” In this day of digital communications a piece of paper with hand-writing speaks to our hearts. We see the individual and their hand, different for every person in the world, like fingerprints.
