I may accept you
Allow you to pet and love
On me, on my terms.

Just who are you now?
What is it you want from me?
I want harmony.
Art Prescription: my butterfly emerged on my way home. My husband built a little butterfly house, and I released her when I got home.
What a magical weekend at Galleywinter Farm.

The two trees stand guard
Rain moves over the mountains
This space is sacred.
Art Prescription: love my writing/art nook at Galleywinter Farm.

Hazy blue mountains
Rise up behind tall grasses
Horses are teachers.
Art Prescription: I’m a student…

Hi friends,
I’m away at adult horse camp and may not have access to post. I’ll try and send you pictures from my trip. It’s very beautiful here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I did bring my art supplies, but the workshop itinerary is busy.

Bricks and paint hold it
Warm kitchens feed the hungry
Love makes it a home.
Art Prescription: lil’ something different, a house portrait. Fun to think of a family moving in to their new home.
Watercolor:

Momma House Finch builds
A sweet nest with grass, clover
Sits, waddles, makes shape.
Art Prescription: I’ve watched this nest building today. Amazing work how she would weave and sit to get the shape she wants.

Watching from above
A wise soul sees your journey
Honor the magic.
Art Prescription: art journal sketch:

Found poetry. After I did my collage during a mixed- media art workshop, I found these words.
Thanks Gwen Ware and Moonbird!
In my collage: butterfly wings, bamboo leaves, feathers, graphite illustrations by me, rose petal, layers of medium.
The sight of those rapidly
Wings released
Rise and fly.

Around the corner
Of my friend’s house, a sweet scent
Gift of a posey.
Art Prescription: I received a gift of a sweet posey!
