Life is mine, she thinks
Is mine because of good luck
I reached out, took it.
Art Prescription: Edible Flowers, good fortune….be grateful for all you have.

Watercolor sketch:

Deep woods, thick with growth
Birds call out from fresh tree tops
Gleaning for insects.
Art Prescription: Sam and I walked our favorite place, Mason Farm. Mid-morning is not as active, but we saw some great birds. I sketched along the way.
Nature Journal, pen and ink sketches:

Washing winter coat
The field turns out a new crop
The farm tractor smiles.
Art Prescription: how do you notice the seasons?

Hanging out in space
They depend on each other
For friendship, support.
Art Prescription: We are all hanging in space.
Trying to decide if I want to add a background to this.

Into healing light
The things with feathers and wings
Carry us with grace.
Art Prescription: For my friends near and far, there is healing to report. Thank you for your kind words and support, my dear friend is better.

Uninterrupted
Full studio afternoon
Just me and my paint.
Art Prescription: Love it when I can paint with my studio door wide open. Just me and the birds, and squirrels.
Pink and Red Story:
Rose colored glasses
Rain drops glisten on petals
Of pink peonies.
Art Prescription: How strong is our will? Can we will ourselves healthy? Practice gratitude? Look for pink peonies to make our day?
Watercolor with pen and ink:

Just a little blue
Inspired by a napkin
A soothing color.
Art Prescription: art journal:

Birds glean for insects
Breeze stands still, then leaves rustle
Lilac scents the air.
Art Prescription: Alone in the Woods…

Along Morgan Creek
Under deep spring foliage
A heron fishes.
Art Prescription: Took a lovely walk on the North Carolina Botanical Garden trails this afternoon. The forest canopy is thick now, hard to find singing birds. And with this warm weather the snakes are out. Saw three black beauties. Okay so we can do without the surprise factor, but sleek just the same.
Down at the creek a blue heron strutted along the shallow water.
