A boat without an anchor

I wilt, drift about.

I’m holding down the fort.

Late August sun sets

Roses reach, exuberant

A few leaves let go.

Art Prescription: Each day moves towards fall.

Is now time for pods

Time of gathering, storing

And spreading spring seeds.

Art Prescription: I love to pick up random treasures on my walks.

The squirrels are happy for the various nuts.

Pods full of seed wait for a brisk wind to spread for next season.

And the beat goes on…

This pretty white flower is blooming along some wild parts of my daily walk.

A few trees wear hints of fall

Smell of plowed corn fields.

Art Prescription: And just like that, the corn fields are harvested.

Art Prescription: For a little diversion I went to the NC Botanical Garden today to sketch. The garden is full of life!

There is a large patch of Cardinal Flower, a hummingbird favorite, and I sat and watched.
