And still it’s summer
Despite being September
Ninety degree day.
Art Prescription: Alas though I know my hot pinks and warm yellows will fade into cool blues.

Watercolor:

Pen and ink with colored pencil on craft paper.

Flower with no sun
A boat without an anchor
I wilt, drift about.
Art Prescription: My husband is at a conference. I know he is in his element.
I’m holding down the fort.

Late August sun sets
Roses reach, exuberant
A few leaves let go.
Art Prescription: Each day moves towards fall.

Is now time for pods
Time of gathering, storing
And spreading spring seeds.
Art Prescription: I love to pick up random treasures on my walks.
The squirrels are happy for the various nuts.
Pods full of seed wait for a brisk wind to spread for next season.
And the beat goes on…

Here’s to a “go fetch”
Unconditional love, walks
And all things doggy!
Art Prescription: Matisse says “happy National Dog Day!”

Vine with white flowers
A “devil’s darning needles.”
Autumn clematis.
Art Prescription: How do plants get such odd names? folklore?
This pretty white flower is blooming along some wild parts of my daily walk.
Pen and ink and negative painting:

Temperature drops
A few trees wear hints of fall
Smell of plowed corn fields.
Art Prescription: And just like that, the corn fields are harvested.
Post card with watercolor:

Matisse is quality analyzing Finn’s new saddle pad.
