My sweet boy Finn:
What you focus on
May come into your life now
So be positive.
Art Prescription: we are what we think..,

Pieces of puzzle
An idea that’s in parts
Imagination.
Art Prescription: I’m working on an idea, and like cooking it’s taking some prep work to pull it all together.
Stay tuned:

When confidence soars
And you gallop free to roll
Know earth will catch you.
Art Prescription: Safety and security. No small matter.

Big sheets of hard rain
Pellet the windows, tap, tap
Thirsty green garden.
Art Prescription: in an effort to make a mate for my last post I did a hydrangea. I’m not as happy with this composition or color palette. What can I learn here?
Mixed media:

Perennial plants
Coral bells bloom in the shade
My backyard garden.
Art Prescription: The leaves are multi-colored, spectacular on their own. Then red-green spikes boasts a plethora of white blooms.
Acrylic wash, colored pencil, ink, and collage:

July under tree
I watch my breath in the shade
To find peace in heart.
Art Prescription: Where can you go to find peace?
Mixed media painting: this is a version of what I did for the Brushes with Cancer project.

On a busy day
A simple white posey vase
Will do a soul good.
Art Prescription: simple being…simply being… simple be ing

Insects sing summer
Clicks and buzzes in the fields
Grasshopper takes flight.
Art Prescription: It’s definitely bug season! Bees, ants, mosquitos, praying mantis, beetles, flys, “biting flies!,” hornets, cicadas, dragonflies, we like them, and name what you have in your neck of the woods.
Here is the tree I did earlier. I inked the leaves and tree.
