Define a few petals with acrylic.

Cut into mini art pieces for further exploration.

Stolen time rushes

Past the day or the season

You grasp the moment.

Fall wildflowers sway

And I’m caught with cricket song

A grasshopper jumps.

I went to sketch at the Dorothea Dix Sunflower Garden.

Here is my final piece:

Across field of gold

You came to me with your heart

And I met you there.

Heat rises from ground

Humid waves of plus ninety

Breeze warms drips of sweat.

Sam and I took a walk. So hot!

We both wrote haikus.
