Here’s my slow-stitched pansy:
Who wants a kit to do this yourself?

Here’s my slow-stitched pansy:
Who wants a kit to do this yourself?

Time to perculate
Bring the gerbil in to home
Off the running wheel!
Art Prescription: Having extra time to work on some ideas has been nice.
I’m hoping to soon list an embroidery kit in my Etsy shop.

Meditational
A needle, thread, slow stitching
Embroidery rose.
Art Prescription: Today while it was cool and rainy, I stitched the rose.
I’m putting together a kit idea. A kit would come with everything to stitch this mini piece of art.
It could be framed or made into a pin-cushion or lavender sachet.

Hi y’all!
I’m always thinking of an art kit to inspire others.
How about an embroidery kit?
You would get cut fabric ready to assemble and stitch.
Let me know your thoughts!

Each petal a prayer…

Normal Saturday
Farmer’s market, Southern States
Except all have masks.
Art Prescription: We ventured out a bit today, and I was surprised that so many others are resuming their Saturday routines. Most had on masks.
Worked in the yard most of the day.
My journal inspiration comes from my garden! I’ve listed several in my Etsy shop!

Song comes from bushes
Hidden in green, little peeps
Parents deliver.
Art Prescription: Seems everywhere there are bushes and trees singing with the non-stop hungry cries of biddies!
The parents work frantically as a tag team bringing worms and insects galore.
Today I worked on more nurse journals. This design is more gender neutral as there are many male nurses, and every female does not love pink flowers!

Heat of pandemic
Turn toward your garden for news
Coming up roses.
Art Prescription: hi you all! how’s it going?
I’m finding I need to limit my exposure to news. It makes us feel helpless.
I continue to work on journals for nurses.
Big sheet of roses:

Cut into strips and adding journal pages:

All across nation
Nurses are at the bedside
Of Covid- 19.
Art Prescription: Since my work is with elective surgeries, I’m not working on the frontlines as many of my nursing peers.
So, I want to do something to send hope and healing to nurses.
I’m making a varied group of pocket journals to gift to the Medicine ICU at UNC Hospitals.
If art can provide an ounce of comfort during these trying times my heart will be happy.
