Fall Walk: Tiny Journal

Thwack!! acorn hits ground

Robins chortle down the sun

Geese take off for roost.

Art Prescription: Busy, busy… I’m co-teaching a Yoga and Art Journaling Retreat this Saturday at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Super excited!!

Busy preparing so my tiny Journal is the perfect remedy for a little art fix!

Watercolor:

Togetherness

Dogs bark at the moon

Wonder why dinner is late

No one likes time change!!!!!!

Art Prescription: Who benefits from time change?

Everyone I know does not like it!!

Why isn’t this something we vote about?

Celebrate others

Local open studios

See tools of the trade.

Art Prescription: Today we explored a local open studio tour. So much talent in our area!

The art is fantastic, and seeing the artist’s studios and tools is so interesting.

Favorite: Hatnip a local Milner who makes handmade hats and hair accessories. Her studio is in an old 1800 farmhouse!

Tiny Journal: mixed media:

Coconut curry

Chocolate s’mores pie with cream

Filling soul with art.

Art Prescription: celebrated a dear friend’s birthday today by having lunch at Iris, the NCMA restaurant, and then seeing the show.

Art Journal:

Feral: Elbee

Had kittens two times

Was trapped in a cage for spay

Learning about love.

Art Prescription: Blackie, the male, will take pets and even “cat-rub” on my leg. Big step!!

Elbee will eat a few feet away and is so interested in trusting.

Watercolor Leaves

Fall color parade

Tree show before taking rest

A woodland wonder.

Art Prescription: I taught a class on watercolor leaves at the NC Botanical Garden yesterday. Such fun!

Sam and I collected leaves in the garden before the class. Learned some new trees.
