Sweep through like starlings
Life when loss comes to haunt you
Wings flutter above.

Sweep through like starlings
Life when loss comes to haunt you
Wings flutter above.

Just now saw your eye
An anchor to what is real
What grounds me in life.

In the form of leaf
Tattered, but still speaks of hope
Life is a circle.

Some of us mother
The world, animals, and birds
Love so deep and wide.

Country life sets well
Gives me time and space to breathe
While horses nicker.

Rainy Sunday nap
Chihuahua snores between us
Cat purrs at my side.

Shrubs sing and vibrate
Parents fly fast in and out
Hungry mouths to feed.

Brings horse out by car
Grooms from her trunk and then gets
On from the bumper.

Around the pond ducks
Set up their nest in tall grass
Green heron returns

Taken for granted
New roll of toilet tissue
A button for heat
