Art Prescription: Since my husband is busy with work, I ventured out alone on the Hillsborough River Walk. Hillsborough is a quaint town just 20 minutes from home.

Weaver Street, a local co-op grocery, was having a wine sale, so people were milling about tasting wine.

I was happy to walk quietly on the trail.

Solitude is a gift we in our technologically over-stimulated world often dismiss.

Art Prescription: A new horse arrived at the farm today! Armani! He is quite a big boy, Freesian, and super sweet.

Art Prescription: Always on the look-out for nature inspiration, we hiked Pumpkin Loop this afternoon.

Along with a nice assortment of birds we saw a beautiful black racer, a turtle (probably snapper), and a question mark butterfly.

It’s so hard to lose a beloved pet.

Art Prescription: My daily walk took me over to explore the Debose House, a Chapel Hill landmark. The house is amazing and a bell-man showed us a room!

The gardens appeal to me the most with a formal garden for the heirs.

And then a simple graveyard in the woods.

Either way a life was lived…

Today, thanks to my group of young environmentalists I learned a lot about bees!

We caught bees and studied them, and of course released.
