With you on my back.

Thread crosses feathers
A line across intricate
A plan for shear flight.
Art Prescription : So lovely to have some time to
Art journal. I stitched some feathers and went from there…

Fresh cut zinnias
Butterfly wings and bird’s nests
My favorite things.
Art Prescription: Had a great day sharing art at my Open Studio.
My Open Studio is tomorrow! I’m looking forward to sharing the joy of what inspires me with others!

A lone iris blooms
It’s November already
A lone iris bloom?
Art Prescription: A blooming iris in November is beautiful, but out of season?
Watercolor pencils on index card:

Two days before show
Studio, total chaos
Artist conundrum.
Art Prescription: I love making art and sharing art, working in my journal, making art with other artists.
Opening my studio once a year is a lot of work. Let’s be real. Artists are not sales people.
Here’s where I am…. I will get it together!

Clouds with pink bellies
Rise softly up over trees
November sunset.
Art Prescription: I was out at the farm till dark. After a rainy day the skies cleared and created a beautiful sunset.
Watercolor pencil sketch:

Hi fellow artists,
I’m getting ready for my Open Studio, the one time of the year I clean up and invite people in to share my work.
I always like to have a small treat. This year it’s small ring holders.
Should I sign on front or back?

When out on a branch
Hanging round, trying to be
Just little ole me.
Art Prescription: Paint what you love, feel what you paint, be who you are!
Art Journal with watercolor:

Tiny works of art
A safe place to hold your rings
Your hands in the dirt.
Art Prescription: I came across a set of Chinese painting bowls and they are super sweet. I’m up-cycling them into ring holders.
I’ll have a bunch ready for my Open Studio next weekend. Whoot!
