Late Spring May 27, 2015

Itty-bit bunny

Sits still in tall grass late spring

You cannot see me.

Art Prescription:  Seems my backyard is full of “off-spring.” To those of you who follow me…the little robin from yesterday earned his flying wings!

Waiting on a Horse May 22, 2015

We drank Prosecco

At the barn, as we waited

For the horse trailer.

Art Prescription:  A new horse arrived at the farm today. A beautiful “flea bitten” mare, which means she is white and dappled in grey. The hauler was late due to Memorial Day traffic, but this little beauty got off the trailer calm as could be. She ate grass while the geldings stood at attention in a cloud of excited dust.

Honeysuckle May 17, 2015

Wild woodsy perfume

Yellow honeysuckle vines

Unruly tangle.

Art Prescription:  Walked Mason Farm. The woods are heady with the scent of honeysuckle. This invasive vine winds itself around anything standing. Maybe we dismissed it’s misbehavior because it’s so fragrant.
