One act of kindness
The stray cat finds heated house
To know she is warm.
Art Prescription: Seeing one of the cats who are roaming in this cold weather cuddled up in the cat house, gives me a sense of peace.
Weather forecast, snow
All day I look to the sky
Excuse for milk, bread?
Art Prescription: Okay, so I might wake up to a sea of white, but right now…I don’t see any snow!!! Since early morning the forecast for a winter storm has been all over television, radio, and Facebook. I did go to the grocery store for stamps, and they were out! Schools cancelled today. Many businesses closed early. Curious. Warm in my studio where I painted love birds.
Thoughts get more quiet
Sharp pain turns to a dull throb
Time truly heals all.
Art Prescription: No life goes without loss. Loss of life, loss of dreams, loss of health, there are many. It is part of the beautiful existence we call human. We feel BIG. We experience the drama of life in our minds and bodies. Write, paint, connect with others…we are not alone.
Wild horses couldn’t
Drag me away from my world
We are all guests here.
Art Prescription: Sadly another dear furry friend left us, Lily. Peace be with her family.
My husband Sam, also wrote a haiku. These two cats were part of our lives and will be missed.
Ship sets sail and fades
Toward horizon, lost from view
Arrived to new plane
