Steady, cold, wet, rain
Tree limbs bow low, water logged
Warm, dry, studio
Art Prescription: About froze at the barn this morning. Finn was soaked.
Home to dry clothes and worked on Ramses paintings for an order.

Rain pours down, sideways
Umbrella threatens to flip
Inside out with wind.
Art Prescription: Here in NC we’ve had a nice long cool spring. So nice.
I drove to three stores today to find hoops for my Stitch Kits. Ended up at JoAnn Fabric and waited in line outside with my mask and gloves. Only so many people in the store at one time.
Since I was there I picked up a couple of new fat quarters of fabric.
Next design: a bird:

Sun shines through window
Wake… what day is it…hello
Coffee is ready.
Art Prescription: Anyone else feeling disoriented? Without a schedule? What day is it?
Early walk at Mason Farm. Saw a Fly Catcher.

Fairy purveyors
A skill to be developed
Journal for records.
Art Prescription: If you aren’t keeping a fairy journal during these times, then you are missing out on magic.
Serious fairy hunters know keeping records is a must. Fairies are of course mysterious.
Local fairies have provided journals for those on the look out for all good among all people.

Don’t take personal
Words or actions from others
It’s their perspective.
Art Prescription: So often we allow the words of others bother us. Usually it’s all about them…
Fabric collage with quote and improv stitching:

Freshly cut flowers
Seems trees have changed overnight
Mason Jar posy.
Art Prescription: We are so lucky here in North Carolina that flowers continue to bloom on through October. We haven’t had that first cold frost yet. So I happily plucked a Mason Jar full of flowers and set about to watercolor them. Makes me about as happy as anything…
8 1/2 x 11 watercolor on 140 lb watercolor paper
She moved me, the wind
And I listened deeply to
What she had to say.
Art Prescription: I went to an animal communication workshop today at the farm where my horse Finn lives. It was intense and beautiful. I was overwhelmed with some emotions that came up, and I’m sure I will need to process my “conversations” more in the days to come. The horses were amazing and accepting and willing…wow!
Sharp, bright, fall sunlight
Euphonious, crickets hum
Musical meadow.
Art Prescription: The sun is sharp these days. Once up, she burns off frosted windshields…moves on to de-thaw grass. And still the crickets hum softly in the meadow.
