Hi Y’all,
I’ll get back to watercolor soon. I’m enjoying brainstorming and creating these slow stitch kits.
It’s meditative to just sit and stitch and there is an abstract quality to my patterns.
Two listed in my Etsy shop!

Don’t take personal
Words or actions from others
It’s their perspective.
Art Prescription: So often we allow the words of others bother us. Usually it’s all about them…
Fabric collage with quote and improv stitching:

None of us know now
What life is going to be
Wading through water.
Art Prescription: So we go about our days staying afloat.
Fabric collage on vintage wallpaper:

Time to perculate
Bring the gerbil in to home
Off the running wheel!
Art Prescription: Having extra time to work on some ideas has been nice.
I’m hoping to soon list an embroidery kit in my Etsy shop.

Meditational
A needle, thread, slow stitching
Embroidery rose.
Art Prescription: Today while it was cool and rainy, I stitched the rose.
I’m putting together a kit idea. A kit would come with everything to stitch this mini piece of art.
It could be framed or made into a pin-cushion or lavender sachet.

Cold, chill to the bone
Steady drizzle and down-pours
Early springs revenge.
Art Prescription: So we have had record high temperatures, and now we are having record low temperatures.
Index card with watercolor and colored pencil:

Doors beckon us in
Whether real or in our minds
What’s on other side?
Art Prescription: Is there a lock? Are we afraid? Are we brave? Are we curious? Do we want change? Well…
Index card with watercolor:

Freshly cut flowers
Seems trees have changed overnight
Mason Jar posy.
Art Prescription: We are so lucky here in North Carolina that flowers continue to bloom on through October. We haven’t had that first cold frost yet. So I happily plucked a Mason Jar full of flowers and set about to watercolor them. Makes me about as happy as anything…
