A few days ago
And you came home with flowers
The words to tell you.
Art Prescription: Some days surprise you to no end….and you don’t forget them.
A pillar of strength
Horses, with their all knowing
Grateful for the ride.
Art Prescription: I rode Lacey today at Blue Skies of Mapleview. She is so sweet…oh dear…heart tug! On a whim, I stopped by another local horse barn. There I met Victoria, a beautiful girl, and her owner. I did a brush painting of her, trying to capture her strong features and gorgeous lines.
Out beyond the gate
I find my breath, deep and full
On a white mare’s back.
Art Prescription: Rode Lacey today! Some ring work…my trot a little better…and then off into the woods and corn-fields. Lean forward going up-hill and lean back going down hill. I try to let her rhythm carry my body. Trust, let go and breathe. Folks this is big.
Shelves of pure color
Buy single or in a group
Paint in a pencil!
Art Prescription: Field trip to the art store today. Shelves of color, watercolor, acrylic, oils, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, ink, markers. It’s intoxicating!! And oh all the papers…
Well I survived and got out with some exciting stuff to try. A bargain for the spirit.
Gerber daisy wow!
A sea of velvet petals
In every hue.
Art Prescription: Any garden shop is a canvas for a floral artist. Nature makes colors we mortals attempt to match. It would be a fun challenge to mix and match each color of this photo. So many shades of pink, red, and yellow…a good learning exercise.
