Art Prescription: What started out as a tree painting on a big canvas – 5 ft tall – became an expression of loose brush-strokes and spattering…so therapeutic!! I will return to this tomorrow to paint a “proper” tree, but for now, ahhhhhh…cheaper than counseling and oh!! the color!!

Art Prescription: My black house cat Matisse meows from sun-up to sun-down. High maintenance, but I love him dearly. This afternoon I took him with me out to my studio. He didn’t say a word!! Meandered around, slinking by my ankles and stretching out on my rug. I think he knew he was in sacred space. Art Prescription: We don’t eat out much because I love to cook, but tonight we went with friends to a restaurant called “Twisted Noodle.” My dish was perfect! Spicy food calls for a good beer or wine!
