Art Prescription: Today was a cold, wet, rainy day! And my friends and neighbors still came out to celebrate my open studio with me. Thanks y’all!! For those of you who live a little far off…

Art Prescription: A field through the seasons…sow, reap, plow. Fresh tractor marks on red dirt fields. Sketch on an envelope.

Cockle-berry takes hitch-hike

Art Prescription: Both of us in need of clearing our minds, my friend and I. I went and led Finn out of the woods, rode a bit. Then we both took in the calm that is the farm, to clear our heads and sketch!
Quick little hummer
Zooms up into trees, brief rest
Then back for more sweets.
Art Prescription: On my walk watching hummingbirds dive lantana. As I approached they flew up into the trees. This is another miniature art pieces. Watercolor artist trading card.
Body moves in time
Her white hips sway and sashay
By the lush corn field.
Art Prescription: A majestic trail ride this morning with Lacey! I felt we moved as one through the wooded path and around tall, lush corn stalks. Except, she cheated and took a bite out of one…don’t tale!

Grateful for the ride.
Art Prescription: I rode Lacey today at Blue Skies of Mapleview. She is so sweet…oh dear…heart tug! On a whim, I stopped by another local horse barn. There I met Victoria, a beautiful girl, and her owner. I did a brush painting of her, trying to capture her strong features and gorgeous lines.

Flower buds swell in the hope
Of a full blossom.
Art Prescription: We do want to live up to our own expectations… Look around you and realize you have already done it!!! Peace.

Art Prescription: It is too quiet in the woods for a March day. After another wintry weather day, the creek is full and there is a steady drip-drop off the trees. Wet, cold, misty…why would anyone be out bird-watching!! I scan the trees for owls!! Saw a hawk and a cute little Kinglet.
March lion spits ice
Daffodils hang their heads low
With disappointment.
Art Prescription: Seems March’s lion is having a final roar!! Snow and sleet. And still I walk and look at what nature has to offer. Nodding daffodils…
Bareback on “my” horse

Art Prescription: Started my Intuitive Horseback Riding at Blue Skies Farm today! To launch us right off with breathing and being centered with our horse, we rode bareback. Beautiful!
