Art Prescription: It is too quiet in the woods for a March day. After another wintry weather day, the creek is full and there is a steady drip-drop off the trees. Wet, cold, misty…why would anyone be out bird-watching!! I scan the trees for owls!! Saw a hawk and a cute little Kinglet.
March lion spits ice
Daffodils hang their heads low
With disappointment.
Art Prescription: Seems March’s lion is having a final roar!! Snow and sleet. And still I walk and look at what nature has to offer. Nodding daffodils…
Pansy bed, new thyme
Dig, clip, prune, plant, and water
Spring garden arrives!
Art Prescription: Planting for spring sketching!! A whole new bed of pansies and violas!! Also added rosemary and thyme for tasty spring cooking. Markers on a 3 x 5 index card.

Art Prescription: We are so fortunate to have lots of organic farmers in our area. And three local farmer’s markets that make shopping local convenient and fun, including LoMo Market which travels around the triangle delivery fresh goods on wheels!!

Art Prescription: First thing this morning we walk out to see the horses. On the way I notice about 6 different merry wildflowers!

Art Prescription: Nothing sweeter than spring walks and painting with studio door wide-open!

Leopards, giraffes too.
Art Prescription: Looks like animal prints are coming back around. Good! Hopefully it will remind all the fashionistas of our planet and the need to take good care. Peace!

Art Prescription: Working on some woodland fairies. Hard to decide if I want to go realistic or animated or somewhere in the middle. Love the idea of spring wildflowers with pretty, dainty fairies!!

Art Prescription: Wow, what a complete turn-around from yesterday. The birds have traded in mating calls for eating as much as possible.
