For my friends who celebrate Hanukkah:

Hi,
I’m experimenting with eco dyeing.
Here I’ve used some spices for the first layer:

Nice yellows. Now I’m adding leaves, hoping to get imprints.

Stay tuned…
Mid-November and
Suddenly it looks winter
All the leaves are gone.
Art Prescription: Last weekend was peak fall here in N.C. This weekend the trees are stripped and looking more like winter.
Mixed media in my art journal:

Final fling, asters
Bloom while leaves let go of tree
Both feel their duty.
Art Prescription: Nature sets such clear examples of living in the moment.

Hi from Diva!
I’m doing really good. I have a routine and it includes running around the fields across from my house.

Swirls of golden leaves
Parachute to winter ground
And the rain moves in.
Art Prescription: It’s been a very colorful fall.
Index card with mixed media:

The words the happy say
Are paltry melody
But those the silent feel
Are beautiful –
Emily Dickinson

Golden yellows, reds
Half on trees, half on the ground
Fall peak, then winter.
Art Prescription: Seems like fall peak here. Colors are gorgeous, and leaves are falling steadily.
I’m working on a new Stitch Kit.
