No reference, just a feeling.
Watercolor sketch:

Pool, not a ripple
Acorns scatter the cool ground
Gold-dust in the fields
Art Prescription: Fall seems to have moved in and I’m delighted!
Art Journal w feathers and watercolor:

So pleased to present the Art Prescription to a grief support group today. Introduced them to art journaling.
All my art spaces looked lived in.

The yellow light fades
The white sun of fall follows
Shadows grow taller.
Art Prescription: The changing season is subtle. It does stir within me that every season is oh so ever important.
Cat sketch;

I led a watercolor sketching class this morning at the NC Botanical Garden.
We wore masks and practiced social distancing.
And oh how wonderful to be in a place full of beauty.
I did quick demos of three techniques: watercolor brush, watercolor pencil, and negative painting.
Here is my demo piece reworked with layers of watercolor and pen and ink.

Hi dear friends,
Tomorrow I’m teaching a class at the North Carolina Botanical Garden.
We will be masking up and social distancing. My goal is to make everyone feel safe and have fun!

Rain drums on tin roof
Smell of wet hay rises, breeze
Trees sway in the wind.
Art Prescription: Horse lessons were rained out. Much pampering was done.

Hello friends,
Remember a while back I posted about a missing dog? Well, she’s been found and returned home!!
Tomorrow would be 35 days since she went missing. What a romp through the woods this girl had. What a survivor!
Meanwhile in the studio:

Morning Air is crisp
Grass wet from dew on my shoes
Coffee on the porch.
Art Prescription: Oh how lovely these mornings!
Still working on call out from my agent for a mate to my last painting.

Like the blue ocean
Calm, inviting, walk on beach
Up over the dunes
Art Prescription: I’ve painted multiple genres today playing with blue. I think my favorite is the coastal painting.
