Hi All!!
I wanted to share a process with you.

Which do you prefer?
I love the process of both. One observing line and shadow, the other color.
Both are a bit abstract.
Thanks for visiting my blog,
Bev

Case of mulleygrubs
Cure is a cake or red dress
Or watercolor.
Art Prescription: I first heard of “mulleygrubs” from Ginger Andrews’ poem “The Cure.”
“The cure for the mulleygrubs,
she tells my sister,
is to get up and bake a cake.
If that doesn’t do it, put on a red dress.”
It seems listening to the news is causing me a sure case of mulleygrubs, so I paint and paint and paint!! And maybe pray…

Moonlight sonata
Can you hear the beautiful
As the day settles?
Art Prescription: Emotional week here in America. To soothe my soul I return to nature and her rhythms.
8 x 8 watercolor with bleach:

Just trying too hard
Uses so much energy
Life is about flow.
Art Prescription: Seems this lesson has presented itself multiple times for me this week.
8 1/2 x 11 Watercolor with pen and ink and colored pencil:

Seventy degrees
Shorts and tees in December
Santa needs sunscreen!!
Art Prescription: I’m not complaining as Finn and I had a lovely sunny walk (sort-of he is very interested in eating grass). However, “dashing through the snow” is highly unlikely this Christmas season.
Watercolor and pen and ink 8 x 10
Been hanging round this
Town for so, so long, walk paths
Just like yesterday.
Art Prescription: As I walked to the bus, lunch in hand, I cornered the UNC School of Nursing. Been hanging around this town for a long time. This, it occurs to me, is my life…
Pet sitting for my favorite neighbor cat…watercolor sketching her while visiting.
