Around golden bend
Lies a field of pods, grasses
Home for small creatures.
Art Prescription: Hiked our favorite place, Mason Farm! The grey winter days create wonderful contrast on the golds and browns.
Haiku November 17, 2012 Evening in the Woods
Owl calls out from woods
Eyes acclimate as light fades
Birds announce days end.
Art Prescription: Sam and I went for a late afternoon, almost evening, walk at Mason Farm. Lots of activity as the temperature drops and the sun sets with a dramatic pink sky!! As squirrels scurry to their nests, birds take last call, and the nocturnal world begins to wake.

Venus lights my way
Trample through damp wooded trail
Owls watch from above.
Art Prescription: Being out so early, still dark, is not my norm. But it is serenely beautiful!!

Daybreak, first birds chit
Wave of pink coral sweeps sky
Time for owls to sleep.
Art Prescription: Up before the sun this morning. Sure is nice to watch a brand new day paint the sky with pretty colors, while our nocturnal friends turn in for a day’s nap.
