Blue winged gem perches
Brilliant against brown-grey
About to burst woods.
Art Prescription: Walked at Mason Farm this afternoon. The ground is covered with wildflowers, and the trees with song birds. The Eastern Bluebird stands out like a jewel against a late winter back-drop. Their color is spectacular. Try and mix it on your palette.

Cobalt blue with wings
Perches a top dark branches
Pair by pair they sing.
Art Prescription: Blue birds have a distinctive sound. I love hearing them and then searching the tree tops to find a male calling out for his mate. Listen and look…watch.
