Dorothy was right
No matter how far you roam,
There’s no place like home.
Art Prescription: Feeling much like a princess in a palace, I’m home!! Home with my creature comforts, and everything else that makes my heart sing.
Thoughts get more quiet
Sharp pain turns to a dull throb
Time truly heals all.
Art Prescription: No life goes without loss. Loss of life, loss of dreams, loss of health, there are many. It is part of the beautiful existence we call human. We feel BIG. We experience the drama of life in our minds and bodies. Write, paint, connect with others…we are not alone.
Wild horses couldn’t
Drag me away from my world
We are all guests here.
Art Prescription: Sadly another dear furry friend left us, Lily. Peace be with her family.
My husband Sam, also wrote a haiku. These two cats were part of our lives and will be missed.
Ship sets sail and fades
Toward horizon, lost from view
Arrived to new plane
In memorium:
Lilly and Roo
Got holiday blues?
Cope with creativity!
Draw, paint, write, journal!
Art Prescription: As the year comes to close I come full circle with the intention of the Art Prescription. Creativity is healing. Making art boosts your feel good hormones and makes your immune system stronger. So…while you are making your new years resolution list…add something creative, like keeping a daily journal. Go ahead. Buy something pretty and just start! It will do your spirit good!
Same stars light the sky
For some it’s the last, some first
Christmas past, present.
Art Prescription: Time is marked by events like Christmas Eve. As I gaze out at the big wide open sky, I think. These same stars were shining on my first Christmas Eve, and will shine on past my last. Humbling…Be true to yourself. Live in the present and seek joy everyday. Merry Christmas!
