Thick, humid July
Grey broody sky hangs heavy
Sly seasonal shift.
Art Prescription: Twas unusually quiet on my evening walk. Just a couple of frogs croaking and an occasional bird. I sense the season beginning to change. Spring and summer are petering out, and though we have many warm days ahead, there is a subtle change in the air.
This is a work in progress with many layers so far…not sure where it’s going…
Quiet except crunch
Of early fallen brown leaves
Flowers start to wane.
Art Prescription: I’m noticing now on my walks there are scattered fallen leaves on the path…fall starts her subtle nuance.
Certain change in light
Early eve hum of crickets
Is almost August.
Art Prescription: Junk mail journal page!
Red, orange glistens
Sun glows through tree canopy
Leaves crunch under feet!
Art Prescription: Morning walk! The woods are awake. Different time of day…different mood.
A cold front moves in from north
Tenders take cover!
Art Prescription: Forecast taking a dive…October is upon us. Hold still my beating heart for the last tender blooms!
