Defining What You Love

So I’m going to Las Vegas to the Licensing Expo International! I will be a small fish in a big sea, and thinking about this has moved me to take a look at my art and define my mission. I’m defining what I love and pulling my experiences during the last several years together.

Defining what you love is a meditation on living. It helps you to examine the multifaceted pieces of your life as a human, friend, sister, brother, mother, father, wife, husband, etc. You will see themes that run through your days. Defining what you love is honoring your true-self and can fill you with gratitude!!

Art prescription: List the four things you love most. How do they tie your days together? That’s authentic!

What I love:

Soft, romantic, and timeless art. My warm and inviting color palette to evoke elegance and comfort. A constant eye on nature to record my observations. Painting and poetry to honor the rhythm of live, the sun and moon, the changing of the seasons, the cycle of life. To reflect my identification as a naturalist. To seek to share an eye for detail with great respect and sensitivity for my subjects. To remind the viewer to slow down and take in the world. Art to delight and educate. My life at 11 and 11.5.

  1. I’ll be eager to hear about the expo and what you learn and experience … maybe you and Kerry could come out one day. And I am inspired by your Rx and will give thought to your question about what I really love and how that relates to my activity each day.
