For a period of time now I’ve been searching for a way to blend watercolor, Asian brush painting, with design that will work for holiday product. So far my brush-painted snowmen look out of place like a snowman on an island. I do love my brush swirly trees!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Open-ended time in my studio last couple of days! Time to work on 3 to 4 projects at a time. A watercolor table, an acrylic table, a collage station, and a sketch table…then to bed with my sketch book. This is bliss.

I think I may have found what I’ve been looking for. A style that blends botanically inspired organic lines with the simpleness of brush work painted with watercolor. Viola! Geo-floral! Here’s a page from my sketchbook I did while cuddling in bed with multiple warm furries. I can’t wait to get into my studio and expand on this theme with color!
