Timely adjustment

Fall back, gain an hour, sleep!

Cats say “Dinner late!”

Art Prescription: I like fall back, gain an hour. My feline family says otherwise. Their little delicate schedules keep perfect time, and it’s definitely an hour later!!

Spiral, twist, and turn

Double helix that is life

Deep in the fall woods!

Art Prescription: Everyone needs favorite places. This painting, a new exciting size of watercolor blocks 4 x 10 ish, was created from a place near our home called The Farm. Lush woods and a bamboo forest. Pretty in all seasons! Find one thing that captures your eye and build around it.

American right

Freedom, choice, vote with a heart

No crystal ball here!

Art Prescription: Today I exercised my American right to vote! And I have to speak from my heart to say that in these times I wish I had a view into the future to assure me I’m making good decisions for those that go on after I’m gone. Like the somewhat innocent pageant contestant, I really just want world peace!!!

Anniversary!

Twenty-one years of happy!!

I love my soul mate!!!

Art Prescription: Twenty-one years ago today I married Sam Dyer. “Trust that the same power that gifted you with your dream, knows how to help you make it come true!” I did!!! and it did!! True love knows no boundaries!!

First light, first bird song

Pink halo grows over trees

White moon recedes west.

Art Prescription: After a hectic 9 hours day at my RN job, just a brief while in my studio revives my spirit. My RN job is a dichotomy of much giving. Art balances my right and left brain!!

Little feet scamper

All Hallows Eve, wintry dusk

Trick or treat bellows!

Art Prescription: It’s all about the treat!!!

Quotes from the night:

“Yoda’s coming.”

“Nice wig!”

“Explorimenting.”

“How many can I have?”

“My little brother would like a piece of candy!”

Prematurely stripped

Trees stand naked, Sandy’s path

Ferocious beast.

Art Prescription: My heart goes out to all in Sandy’s path. Trying to think of a way to raise money with art…

Kicks up her mean heels

Force of nature with impact!!

Hurricane Sandy!!

Art Prescription: I want to dedicate this post to all the folks in Sandy’s path. Here in central NC we’ve had some wind and rain, our coast is getting battered, but nothing like what’s predicted for farther north. Peace be with all!

Splendor in the grass

Gem in the rough, bright beauty

Scarlet fall surprise!!

Art Prescription: Walked our favorite place in the world, Mason Farm. Fall foliage pretty and lots of little interesting seed pods along the way. While foraging to try and identify a particular pod, we found this little wildflower!!
