In Lady Banks Rose
A pair of wrens seek courtship
Among early buds.

It won’t be long now
Before drapes of purple blooms
Curtain the roadside.
Art Prescription: I know he saw his shadow…but one can wish.

Birds sing final song
Cold night fog blankets the field
Light fades to deep blue.
Art Prescription: So there we were at Mason Farm all bundled. Then at dusk, as promised, these birds start to make some noise. Their dating dance. A couple of ” peents.” Then they take off into the air and make a symphony of sound coming down.

Somewhere in quiet
All things move forward with plan
To produce beauty.
Art Prescription: This is a recycled painting. Put it into the recycle bin, literally…and then kept seeing it as I walked past. Cut it up and used it for this index card art.

Testing gravity
For no apparent reason
She thought she could fly!
Art Prescription: When the knees and the concrete met, it was evident she could not. Coffee, however, seems to take flight until alas it empties it’s precious fuel.
I think I will stick to feeling weightless in the pool…bruised knees, bruised ego.
Index card painted with coffee (the cup I did not have) and watercolor pencil:

First day of new month
Almost seventy-degrees
In February.
Art Prescription: I’m not complaining, beautiful day. February brings to mind love. Usually cold which lends itself to cuddling, I’m kicking off the covers. Oh dear…sweet cupid, shoot me!!!
4 x 6 abstract watercolor and acrylic on watercolor paper. Available in my Etsy shop as a “Love Note.” Sneak romance into your beloved’s work tote!

Out in the big field
One flower stands up to say
Her opinion.
Art Prescription: Can we listen? Can we hear? Can we learn? Can we love?
4 x 6 watercolor and sumi ink with my chop that says “Bei Fu Lie” my name.

Finn softly nickers
As I roll the hay cart up
To winter paddock.
ARt Prescription: Beautiful and cool NC day at the farm. Finn got a spa day…just grooming and petting and kissing.
