“The notes I handle no better than many pianists. But the pauses between the notes…ah, that is where the art resides.”

Greetings Art Prescription Followers!!
I took a pause from three years of daily haiku and art yesterday. A combo of busy nursing days and sneaking off to the farm to see Finn, my horse. What a beautiful way to end a week!
And it got me thinking…what would you like to see more of in 2015? I relish your comments and participation.
I started the Art Prescription as a way to be creative and find release for the stress we all face in our modern plugged in life. More than ever I find keeping an art journal to be an expressive outlet with no strings attached. It’s just a place to play with color, line, collage, paint…endless really. I’m developing Art Prescription Journal starter kits in my Etsy shop and have lots of fun ideas. My mission has always been to encourage people to live a creative life for wellness.
Here’s to your happy and creative 2015!!

Art Prescription: A nature walk with my best friend, my love…Lots of birds and owls talking about territory. So beautiful. Around the bend we came up on a deer family. They of course saw us first.

Art Prescription: As I walk in the dusk and see all the warmly lit homes, it reminds me of how fortunate we all are. I’m so grateful that at the flip of a switch I can get warmer. Simple daily pleasures. Wish all mankind and creatures warmth…
