Suffocating growth.
Art Prescription: So I did a little gardening today…actually a lot of gardening. Seems I’ve let my weeds get a bit out of control. Natures gentle lesson to remind me to tend my thoughts. Pen and ink, watercolor pencil on watercolor paper.

Art Prescription: We went to the J C Raulston Arboretum today in Raleigh. Pretty place. Lots of different styled gardens. Need to go back with sketchbook. Watercolor pencil on a strip of watercolor paper.

Art Prescription: A lovely pre-fall walk around Mason Farm. Saw an owl sitting over the creek, waiting for dusk to hunt. So majestic this creature. She was so sleepy she barely noticed us. Stood for a long time admiring her feathers.
