Art Prescription: So, I caught a possum in my cat trap last night. Poor thing hissed at me. I opened the trap and he stayed for around an hour. I took the trap to the woods and he found his way free. His ears were so pretty and delicate with a pink glow. Guess I’ve never seen a possum this close. Nature… a steady gift.

Blackie, the male I caught yesterday, is doing well after being neutered.

Art Prescription: For those of you who have been following my feral cat story, today I caught the big fluffy male cat. He had been our resident stray who disappears for some time, and comes back beat up. I took him to Independent Animal Rescue, omg these folks are angels. He will get care and neutered and I will go get him tomorrow.

Art Prescription: Probably my most requested commission. Ramses. He is the mascot for the University of North Carolina, and he’s pretty personable. His horns get painted Carolina Blue and his fans adore him.

Art Prescription: The stray cat saga continues as the mother cat is too smart to be trapped. It’s so cold here now, low tonight 15. I don’t have the heart to try and trap her. She is using the heated cat house I put out.

Art Prescription: Seems happiness psychology is popular. How fortunate we get to choose. I’m eternally grateful for my life path. Tons of hard work, years of working nights and going to school. Happy New Year to all! My wish for you is to find happiness in simple pleasures.
