Pot of fresh color
Lasting long past its season
December daisy.
Art Prescription: As odd as this warm December is, it’s nice to see flowers hanging around.

Remains of the day
Remains of the year, lit by
Christmas day full moon.
Art Prescription: Do you feel a bit melancholy this time of year? Such a big crescendo of holiday happenings and another year coming to close. Walking under the bright light of the Christmas day full moon, I gaze up into that big wide sky and wonder many things. Each star shows me how little I am. And reminds me of the importance of each of our special lights.

Merry Christmas Eve
Moon shines behind thick warm clouds
Joy to you and me!
Art Prescription: Peace be with you my fellow bloggers. Love, Bev

Thunder in winter
Ten days later it will snow
Barefoot December.

A straight direct course
Would be so much easier
Than all these circles.
Art Prescription: And round and round we must go…picking up juicy tidbits on our journey. A course, straight to the honey, would lack in adventure. It would pale to the wandering and coming up lost now and again. It would probably be uneventful, without any family rows, work blow-ups, marriage quarrels… things would just naturally fall into place! How boring!!
As the year comes to an end, let’s give thanks to our circles. May our many curves be blessed and honored, and fasten your seat belt for the new year!

Nature’s ornaments
A flock of cedar waxwings

Holiday posy
White and green chrysanthemums
Festive red rose hips.
Art Prescription: I really enjoyed putting together festive holiday mini-bouquets for my friends and neighbors.

Friday after work
I slide on for gentle ride
Finn’s steady bare-back.
Art Prescription: Just me and Finn on a cool December day.
Index card with pen and ink and colored pencil:
Winter trees shimmer
Under light cast by street lamps
Asymmetrical.
Art Prescription: Evening walks this time of year quickly turn into night-time. I enjoy the sculpture quality of bare winter branches in the light of the street lamps.
