Getting my skin scanned
Paper flap, sweat, feel exposed
Naked with bright lights.
Art Prescription: No image today.!
Health care visits are so demoralizing. A paper vest that won’t stay put. Might as well be naked. What’s the point?

Light creeps through the blinds
Pull covers over shoulder
Who says it’s morning?

Hello my loyal Diva fans,
So it looks like for now I’m staying here in NC. I’m pretty happy about that cause I get to do lots of extracurricular activities with Bev and Sam.

And then once home I promptly got a bath!!

So as you can see life is pretty awesome! I feel loved and my athletic ability is better.
Thanks for checking in!
Love,
Diva Las Vegas
Looking forward to
Golden leaves floating to ground
Smell of fall in woods.
Art Prescription: Still warm and humid, but the light has shifted.
On one hand I’m thrilled about September, on another I’m wondering where this year has gone.
Life is so changed for many people.
My mission, still strong, is to spread the joy of creativity for wellness. Making art is like meditation. It lowers our blood pressure and heart rate. It increases our feel good brain chemicals like serotonin.
Today I’m stitching!!!! So fun!!

Like summer to fall
There is a blur between lines
Where it’s not either.
Art Prescription: Looking so forward to heading out to ride Finn in a sweatshirt! But hold on cowgirl, not yet, it’s still in the 90’s.
Maybe this is a good life lesson. Things are not always all or none, but somewhere in the middle.
I started this very loose watercolor and may add much or a little detail. Depends on the blur of my mood.

Needing a day to clear my head and get some fresh air, we headed toward Snowcamp, NC.
Cane Creek Mountain in Alamance County was the perfect hike.
2.5 mile loop up some moderate inclines, creek side views, ample ferns and hardwoods.

Letting off some steam
I rip, cut, paint, and glue down
Pieces from my life.
Art Prescription: my journal is my go to place for expression!

I had a busy, content day. Began with my sweet art student. We are working on a horse portrait. Stay tuned.
Then I went to walk Austen, my neighbor’s dog.

Home to sketch:

Tall roadside grasses
Line the gold fields, harvest time
Leafy green corn, cut.
Art Prescription: On my drive to see Finn I pass Mapleview Farm. This time of year the fields of corn are being harvested. The once leafy green field is now rows and rows of orange dirt.
