Hiking

Needing a day to clear my head and get some fresh air, we headed toward Snowcamp, NC.

Cane Creek Mountain in Alamance County was the perfect hike.

2.5 mile loop up some moderate inclines, creek side views, ample ferns and hardwoods.

  1. He Bev, was it crowded there? About how many other people did you pass? We are always in search of low-traffic hiking trails. I have a list of ā€˜pandemic’ hiking trails for our dogs. Wish Mason Farms allowed dogs but we do hike a Parker Preserve and I love the fact that so few people are there! Susan

    • Susan, Hi! We were the only ones there!! A couple with their dogs pulled up as we were leaving. It’s a nice hike with a steady incline to the top. Do wear hiking boots as there are lots of rocks. You can find it online Cane Creek Mountain.
