Art Prescription: Here in North Carolina the State Fair comes rolling in about mid-October. Suddenly fair goers shift from shorts and tees to coats and hats. This year I’m missing out on fried, sugar-coated, Oreo s…dang!!

Clouds reflect sunset.
Art Prescription: Even on a cloudy day there is color!
The herd sees you now
They ask with their bodies, who?

Art Prescription: Are you in tune with your environment? Do you pause to notice all that is grandeur around you? Did you miss the flight of the owl? Life is a fleeting moment…be in the moment.

Art Prescription: A walk at Mason Farm today reveals a much more muted fall palette. Still beautiful, it’s really all according to the way you see things!!

Art Prescription: I taught an Art Prescription Workshop today, Fabulous You! I asked my group to paint in their journals what they want more of in their lives. What does YES look like? We started off with random watercolor brush-strokes and washes, and then we moved to imagery. It always inspires me to see the art that happens when people give themselves permission to play.
