My studio, my escape
Breeze sweeps my brushes.
Art Prescription: And then don’t know what got into me, but I started finger painting. Squirting paint directly onto paper and spreading it with my fingers. It’s good to get your hands into a little paint now and then.
Magic meadow wind
The breath of woodland fairies
Stay awhile, listen.
Art Prescription: We hiked both weekend days at Mason Farm, a local wildlife preserve close to home. It’s a spirit-filled place for both of us. A place to be still and quiet and listen to the wind.
Grasshoppers set sail
Over thickets of purple
Yellow Golden Rod!
Art Prescription: Lots of flying grasshoppers today and dragonflies. Interesting behavior, dragonflies dipping their tails into puddles of water. They are laying eggs. Dragonflies dip and swoop, territorial action…flying bugs!
The corn fields been plowed
Tall brownish stalks bend to ground
Asters fill meadows.
Art Prescription: Another day in the country. Went and helped paint barns at the farm where I’m riding horses. Then walked with hubby at Mason Farm, our favorite place. The wildflowers are plenty. Started a painting…stay tuned for tomorrow…I’ll finish!!

Art Prescription: All of life is about the flow. One thing effects the other and so on and so on. It really is all wonderful.
Fall brushes my cheek
Wind whispers through still full trees
Crows caw in distance.
Art Prescription: When you listen, you can hear the call of your dreams!
Glad the birds don’t leave
As summer’s heat fades, my friends
With wings stay around!
Art Prescription: If you follow my blog, you know I’m having trouble letting summer go…the sun, the blooms, the abundance of flowers! I will adjust. I also love fall and the rainbow of color that explodes on trees! Does the season change invoke the explorer in you?
