A pen and paper
Expressive sketch, just capture
The essence of cat.
Art Prescription: Part of the Art Prescription philosophy is to encourage creativity any where, any time. Nothing has to be perfect, just play and have fun.
Colored sketchbook fun
Watercolor pencils, draw
Then paint with water!!
Art Prescription: Watercolor pencils are a great tool for sketch-booking outside. Simply take your pencils and sketchbook, draw and color en plein air. Then back in the studio add water for a surprise mixing of color. Sketchbook graffiti!
Capture pure essence
With a simple line, gesture
Sketch a piece of life.
Art Prescription: I love drawing quick pen and ink sketches of my cats! Keep a sketchbook handy and try capturing some moments of your day…a piece of fruit, a pet, birds at feeder, just keep your hand moving across the page! You can capture a lot with a few lines!
“The artist only needs the willingness to paint.”
“There’s always a clean white canvas.”
Taught an Art Prescription Workshop today with friends. My goal in mentoring is to help the individual bring out their artistic voice. To move away from expectations and to respond to what happens in the moment that paint and brush come together.
One man’s junk is another’s treasure…look at this fantastic ink work! I then colored it in…
Her breath touched my cheek
Felt a wisp of hair, rose scent
My secret sister.
Art Prescription: We have three cats, two boys and one girl, who is their mother. We fostered the whole gang intending to keep two kittens. The mother cat won our hearts immediately! Her name is Maya and she is phenomenal! This is a fun sketchbook idea. Draw a line or series of lines. Now what do you see!
