She sits on a bench
Surveys her land, far and wide
Just then she pounces!!
Art Prescription: The girl knew what she wanted! And it’s as simple as that. Pounce!!
Art Journal:
Warm glow from windows
Folks settle, evening time
January chill.
Art Prescription: As I walk in the dusk and see all the warmly lit homes, it reminds me of how fortunate we all are. I’m so grateful that at the flip of a switch I can get warmer. Simple daily pleasures. Wish all mankind and creatures warmth…

Direction of dreams
Success in common hours
A life imagined.
Art Prescription: 2014 is rolling out…2015 is rolling in. What successes in unexpected common hours do you desire? What endeavors and dreams do you have?
I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of dreams, and endeavors to live the life imagined, she/he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

A deep thick grey fog
Settles across open field
A flock of geese graze.
Art Prescription: There is something soothing about fog. The way it just lazily lingers…making everything a bit out of focus. To stand in tree pose in yoga I find a soft gaze most beneficial. When I try too hard…my balance gets all out of whack. Perhaps we don’t always need to see so clearly!! A little bit softer now…

Christmas tangerines
In a pretty box with nuts
Under grandma’s tree.
Art Prescription: The holidays can be rough. Seems family dynamics are amplified. The world is spinning too fast. And most of us just want it to be over so our lives can get back to normal. Did our grandparents feel this way? I have some pretty super memories of simple gifts of fruit and nuts under my grandmother’s multi-colored light tree. I think we expect way too much out of ourselves!! Go easy…
