Our very good friends and neighbors are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Wow!
What a life and legacy they have created.
I did a couple of collage pages to go in a scrap book their daughter has designed for them.

Putting the finishing touches to this art for a nursery.
Each 6 x 6 canvas tells a little story.

Hi,
Finished my textile art piece today!
Really neat since I made it with an upcycled tablecloth where many meals were served. So this piece has memories embedded in the fabric.
I’d love a piece like this with my grandmother’s apron or a piece of a loved ones clothes.
This is framed with a Gallery Frame.
What a joy to work on such a personal piece of art.
Cheers,
Bev

And life does go on
Cycle of hello, goodbye
Just like the seasons.
Art Prescription: Busy is good. I started a baby name today and loving this luscious background color.

A merry-go-round
Breeze carries a leaf swirling
Touches down at rest
Art Prescription: My sweet Finn was amazing today. Horses are sentient beings.
We sat together and he put his muzzle on my head as if to say I know you are sad and I’m here for you.

I had a lovely group this morning at the North Carolina Botanical Garden.
I showed them three techniques for capturing the essence of fall wildflowers.
Brush painting with watercolor.
Drawing with watercolor pencils and adding water.
Negative painting.
Bonus: pen and ink.
I did a demo of negative painting to capture these tiny asters. Then I added pen to suggest detail.

Thank you dear readers for your support. Art will pull me through.
Be well,
Bev
Howdy,
I’m working on a custom fabric collage for a rooster lover.

While you are awake
Set intentions for future
And reap what you sew
Art Prescription: A little sewing. A little collage. A little dream.

Hi friends,
So here I am moving into a North Carolina fall.

I really like hiking!

Basically I’m a happy dog!
Love,
