On the other side
Of the pasture, the sun sets
Cool mist over ground.
Art Prescription: I went out to the farm to meet the farrier so Finn could get his “pedicure.” After two busy RN days, a chance to slow down and enjoy the horses was a welcome situation. I stayed until the sun began to sink on the horizon. Gazing out on a field of happily grazing horses is peace for my soul, beauty for my eyes, quiet for my ears, and love for my heart.

Hummingbirds fuel up
For their long fall migration
Lots of fall flowers.
Art Prescription: I’m still seeing hummingbirds coming to fall blooms. They won’t be around for long as they prepare for migration.
In line to receive
They each get a pair of wings
Three wise bay geldings.
Art Prescription: No fairies were harmed in this photo shoot.
In alterations of dreams
It is not too late.
Art Prescription: As I went about helping to prepare the farm for a winter storm, I had a thought of wishing this love had of occurred earlier in my life. Then I realized it’s just PERFECT.
Watercolor sketch study of a fox
There in the soft hay
A mid-day nap in the sun
Hear small puffs of breath.
Art Prescription: Went out to get Finn and he was so peaceful. I sat cross-legged and just watched him breathe.
Low, soft voice of hers
Is precisely the spirit
In the entire world.
Art Prescription: Seems to me a softer tone and touch goes a long ways. Compassion and caring…the entire world needs.

Trail blazers, carving a path
Into the future!
Art Prescription: Spent most of my day clearing a new path for horse-back riding! Beautiful day, and I can’t wait to bring Finn over to these beautiful woods.
Fresh air, a religion
Horses my teachers.
Art Prescription: I’ve spent much of my holiday time out at the farm. It occurs to me that I’m learning patience, tolerance, and that throwing bales of hay to horses is extremely therapeutic!! Lovely views…

Lean on me today
I will stand tall and strong now
Catch you if you fall.
Art Prescription: This post is for my brother, who reminded me over the holidays that he is here for me. Through thick and thin he is there to lean on.

Aw-hee, caw, caw, caw
December sounds from the farm
Donkey, crow, blue-birds!
Art Prescription: I somehow spent my entire day at the farm. Even took a “nap” in the back of my van. So peaceful! Just the sunshine and sounds of the critters.
