Finn and Jaeger working on their Halloween costume.
What do you think they will be??

A merry-go-round
Breeze carries a leaf swirling
Touches down at rest
Art Prescription: My sweet Finn was amazing today. Horses are sentient beings.
We sat together and he put his muzzle on my head as if to say I know you are sad and I’m here for you.

Spoken word dangles
A bit of fodder for mind
You don’t take the bate.
Art Prescription: have you ever been tested!? When you know someone is trying to get you to take the bate?
Do you realize when others cross boundaries due to their issues?
Relationships are challenging. I really just want to cruise down the middle lane….

I found a rainbow
When I looked into the eyes
Sweet mare, Frosty Girl.
Art Prescription: Joy is what you find at the end of a rainbow!
Index card with colored pencil:

Sketching in the bed
My pen trails off into sleep
Next day, add color.
Art Prescription: I did this pen and ink sketch last night in a sleepy state. Today I went back in and added colored pencil. Some folks read to sleep…I draw!
8 1/2 x 11 pen and ink and colored pencil

Just off the trailer
He takes a breath, and decides
The grass is green here.
Art Prescription: A new horse arrived at the farm today…Space…a registered Paint. Cool as a cucumber, he gets off the trailer and proceeds to enter his new home with enthusiasm. Just amazing these creatures who live totally in the moment.
Index card sketch:

Different seating
You on a plane, me saddle
My ride takes me home.
Art Prescription: There’s no place like home. What a beautiful day to take my boy Finn out on the trail. He takes such good care of me…sound, soft, reliable.

Quiet on the farm
Horses graze, content, focus
Ears perks, my presence.
Art Prescription: I love walking out into a herd of horses. I watch them notice me with curiosity. Their ears perk as their awareness shifts. Herd behavior has deep roots for these prey animals. To have them accept me and allow me to enter their space is an honor.
