A life before now

Repurposed, a new pattern

Life, double helix.

Art Prescription:  Many objects and patterns have multiple lives. A farmer’s tool cart becomes a magazine rack. An old bed becomes a porch swing. Old patterns cycle round…here is a watercolor take on IKAT.

Puddle Jumping October 14, 2014

Hard steady fall rain

Forgot your umbrella, well

Find a puddle, jump!

Awareness October 11, 2014

Quiet on the farm
Horses graze, content, focus
Ears perks, my presence.

Art Prescription: I love walking out into a herd of horses. I watch them notice me with curiosity. Their ears perk as their awareness shifts. Herd behavior has deep roots for these prey animals. To have them accept me and allow me to enter their space is an honor.

The veins of a leaf

Transport sugar and water

Branches, pathways, life.

Art Prescription:  The veins of leaves and branches on trees mimic our vascular and nervous system. Gives you something to think about. Colored pencil, pen and ink, and collage on an A2 envelope.
