It’s hovering around 100 degrees here in North Carolina. But not hot enough to keep me from going to my brother’s garden and painting sunflowers.
Sunflower Haiku
Brother’s sunflowers
Strong and bright. A shield over
Garden, nests, future.
In his garden is a bird’s nest with freshly hatched chicks. Fascinating! Part of the nest is made from rattle-snake skin. Smart birds! This will keep intruders away.
What a joy to paint in the moment! Painted with a lot of paint and a palette knife!
30 x 30 Original Acrylic – Gallery wrapped canvas. Edges painted black.
