I’m home from my conference and book pitch and trying to remember all the special moments. The energy in such a diverse and creative bunch of people could fuel a rocket to the moon, or at least a bunch of mini vans to soccer practice. So many women seeking to balance their dreams with real life.

I did take some time to walk along the riverfront and explore the city around the hotel. After the 80 and 90 degree NC weather the brisk cool 50’s was tingly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday was chalk full of key note speeches, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the decor was amazing. Each meal had a different theme and a table setting worthy of a magazine spread.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then came my pitch!! I decided to wear my boots hoping they would ground me and keep me from floating out of my body.

I met new friends and all the experiences are b0uncing around in my head like a ping-pong ball. It will take me a while to process and know what the next step will be. I definitely need to heed my own words and get to some painting for its prescriptive calming. That will help clear my head and the answers will come…

I do know one thing for certain. The light of my life is right here at home with Sam, Mocha, Maya, and Matisse. I may never leave again…wait did I just hear about a show I should attend……
