Black snake surfs a-top bushes
Turtle meanders.
Art Prescription: Always on the look-out for nature inspiration, we hiked Pumpkin Loop this afternoon.
Along with a nice assortment of birds we saw a beautiful black racer, a turtle (probably snapper), and a question mark butterfly.

Yes, and since a friend of mine is a butterfly expert, I can learn the names of my finds!

Wow! Not so sure about the snake but the turtle and butterfly look like lovely inspirations!! 🦋🐢
That racer looks HUGE!
Was a pretty big snake! Probable 4 feet, but oh so beautiful from a distance, lol!
Note to self: Racers aren’t small fast little snakes.
